To those who celebrate it - may your holidays be as happy and peaceful as mine are. Love Actually is on TV; I doubt Christmas could get any better. ;)

Wow, I'm SUPER late on this one. Wow, wow, wow. It's almost Christmas, though, and I'm really busy so I hope I'm forgiven?

Not really spoilers much, I think, given that it's been so long since the episode actually aired, but still.

Sending out postcards on Christmas always seemed like such a nice fandom tradition, so I thought I could try it out, too. Should anyone be interested, just leave your address (I promise not to abuse it, I solemnly swear!) in the comments (they are screened, so no worries) and I'll send you a Christmas card! I can't draw or anything fancy like that, so they're probably going to be those lame, generic kittens-in-santa-hats ones, but it's nice to receive mail, isn't it?

Wow, I'm late on this one!

I have to admit, I expected to hate this episode. Lately, my second-hand embarassement tolerance is pretty low - especially when it comes to characters I like - so I had issues with it and generally, the jokes didn't seem as funny to me as they probably should have been. But the episode itself keeps getting better everytime I watch it and while I wouldn't call it the best episode of the season so far, it certainly ranks among them (not for the humor factor, though!)

Blah, blah, blah, spoilers below, you know how this goes.

Snippets

I missed Thanksgiving! Well, I'm not American, but in case any of you are then I wish you happy belated Thanksgiving and hope you had fun.

Also, please know that I am thankful for live music, fanfiction and Dean Winchester.

And since we're all going to die in less than a month (unless the end-of-the-world event got cancelled, of course. In case it did, I missed the memo) I decided to post snippets of my current three WIPs so that you can see what you'll never get to read. Please, excuse my grammar and typos. Thank you.

Untitled II.
Sequel to Untitled. I started writing this ages ago and it wouldn't leave me alone; but then I jumped the Dean/Cas bandwagon and probably won't get to finish it until - if - that phase blows over (because Cas is dead in that fic. Why would I even do that, for the love of...?)

Unnamed Purgatory curtain!fic that kind of got away from me.
Sam gets sucked into Purgatory with Dean and Cas, and they try to deal with it. Dean isn't doing so well. It's for a prompt from the S7 Finale Meme that I have to find again before I link to it or even remember who prompted it in the first place (and what the prompt actually sounded like because... Yeah. It got away from me.)

Dog Days.
Yay. My epic Swan Song-based Dean/Cas AU that I've been writing and rewriting for months now. Instead of killing Cas, Lucifer rips out whatever grace he had left right out of him. He and Dean move to Bobby's old house and struggle

Again, spoilers for 8x03 and speculations beyond! Beware!

Okay, there aren't really any spoilers, just speculation. And I wouldn't even call it that. It's more like... Brain-farting.

Food for thought?

Again, here be spoilers and speculation... Also, this is my not-so-inner shipper talking, so be wary of that as well.

Holy long off-the-rails post, Batman! This has gotten way out of hand, and I probably read into things too much, but YOLO! I can have fun speculating about my favourite TV show and being wrong most of the time, right? At least I managed to leave out all the shipping!

Of course, beware of Big Bad Spoilers - not only for 8x01 but quite possibly for the upcoming episodes as well. I'm not even sure anymore.

I've decided to tweak this day a little because the original challenge of 'the least favourite character' sounds suspiciously close to 'the character I should love but hate instead' and... No. I don't hate any character on the show, not really. I went through the SuperWiki character list just to make sure and all I could find were characters I don't give a flying crap about, but no characters that I'd dislike enough to feel the need to point it out.

So, instead of my least favourite character, I've decided to do a character that I love to hate. Hush, I can totally bend the rules to my own will.

Day 02: My favourite baddie

Crowley. And let me tell you - that was a really hard decision to make because in general, Supernatural has amazing villains. They are either trully disturbing and terrifying (i.e. Alistair in On The Head Of a Pin - his interaction with Dean is, to this day, one of the scariest scenes for me), or they look like that slightly creepy uncle of yours, who gets drunk at every family gathering and verbally abuses you by trying to be funny, but are all the more dangerous (i.e. Zachariach, throughout the whole show). Or something else along those lines.

The Season 8 premiere is nearing and (HOLY SHIT, THAT PROMO ALMOST KILLED ME!) despite all the anxiousness, I'm basically bored out of my mind. And when I'm bored and not in the mood to be productive, I do weird shit.

I saw this on Tumblr and thought, what the hell, I have a blog so I might as well use it as I please. Therefore, brace yourself for a 30 Days of Supernatural challenge that is absolutely pointless and that I'm going to do, anyway! Starting right now.

Day 01: My favourite character

Dean Winchester. Duh. And I don't mean that in a 'what twisted soul would like anyone more than Dean?' way, but in a 'if you've met me, you surely must have known,' way. I'm a Dean!girl all the way, down to the very core of my dark, fannish heart.

Do other people also write thousands and thousands of words of fanfic -- for 'verses they will probably never post? Or is it just me...?

seeing_ghosts: (Default)

@DibsOnDean

You can follow if you're interested, although I have to warn you - I am a little frantic tweeter. And I tweet spoilers and all that jazz; and I will smother you with my offensive pseudo-humor...

Also, I might have a fic coming up soon. MAYBE.

Helle, my lovelies,

as you may or may not have noticed, it's been a while since I posted. It might be another while before I do post (properly), because RL is keeping me pretty busy. I always say that real life is there only to sidetrack me from my fandom life, which is, okay, probably really fucking pathetic but it's God's honest truth, so. There, I said it.

I haven't had time to write in what feels like forever; I don't even have time to read let alone sit down and put words on paper.

What I'm really sorry about, however, is the fact that I had to drop out of [livejournal.com profile] spn_summergen and needless to say, I've felt so bad about it that I've considered hiding under a rock and never resurfacing again. As you can see, in the end I've decided against that option. Although I still do feel bad.

I hope you all are enjoying your summer despite the terrible, horrible, frighteningly freaky weather.

seeing_ghosts: (Default)

I've gone on a crazy friending-whore fest (that might be going on for a while, too) and added some people. Mostly because I genuinely like people and want to know (and be buddies with) as many as I can.

I also realized that I need more posts in my friends' page because right now it's all fic and it's getting fairly overwhelming.

Feel free to add me, talk to me, etc. I want to get to know you!

seeing_ghosts: (Default)

first of all, thank you so much for participating in this challenge and offering to gift other people with fanfiction. I hope my prompts inspire you and will challenge you in all the good ways.

Secondly, I wanted to let you know that whatever you write, however you write it, I will enjoy it. There is nothing I enjoy more than creativity – and that means, GO NUTS! Take my prompt and go crazy with it, put your spin on it, throw in something that is essentially you. Don't worry too much about what I like; if you enjoy writing it, I will enjoy reading it. That much I know for sure.

There are, of course, things I love and prefer to read over things I 'just' like to read. As you might have noticed, most of my prompts (and all of my own fanfics) are very heavy on Dean-centered hurt/comfort. What can I say, I simply love hurting that handsome son of a bitch. However, that doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy some hurt!Sam or something that has nothing to do with hurt/comfort at all. If your story ends up being completely fluffy, that's alright.

On the other hand, there are things I avoid if I can help it. One of them, for some reason or another, is AU fanfiction. I have nothing against what-if scenarios and AUs such as the End!verse, but I have never seen much point in reading (and writing) fics about my favourite characters in completely different settings. Other things I tend to pass are mpreg fics and any form on non-con. I'm not big on de-aged boys and genderswitch, either. However, if your Muse hits you over the head with an idea for an epic AU you could write for my prompts, then you of course can. As I stated above – creativity!

I hope this letter was of use to you, as it was meant to help you. If not, feel free to disregard it and write as your Muse supplies.

Once again, thank you for writing a piece of fanfiction for me – I appreciate it very, very much. I hope you will enjoy writing one of my prompts and won't stress yourself over it too much. We're in this to have fun, after all.
